We have a noise like grinding coming from the transfer case it doesn’t seam to effect driving yet we paid 300 cad to have it looked at and the dealership said it was the transfer case area and recommended we replace all of the transfer case at around 5 grand it only has 141000 km we just bought it for 13000. So don’t really want to fix it if it just intermittently noisy what should we do

Just keep driving it until it stops working or get an aftermarket replacement one/ rebuilt
