Does the 2013-2016 Chevy Equinox v6 have any issues? How many miles do they last?

Reliability is mediocre at best. I'd say 100k to 150k miles is about what to expect if you properly maintain it. GM quality is just notoriously poor.

Very poor quality much less than decent reliability 100k max out of them:

https://www.carcomplaints.com/Chevrolet/Equinox/2013/

The common issues are plentiful:

Excessive oil consumption at average of 70k miles, costing on average $3000 to fix

Engine stalling at average of 70k miles costing $800 to fix on average

Timing chain breaks (less common) at average of 120k miles

On average check engine light costs $1300 to fix

Infortainment system unresponsive reported average of 90k miles and costing $1200 to fix on average

Transmission surging and bucking from stop at average of 70k miles

+ other major Ac, Heater, Windshield, brake, wheel problems.

There are so many I could not list them.

you love that site don't you

@mountainmanjoe
Yes I do because it is very helpful and what is says is correct in my experience so I'm going to go with it

I bet all our vehicles have naughty things on there don't they? 😛

@mountainmanjoe
What do you mean by that? Yes there are some issues you see and you are like how can this be. The irritating thing is there is an average mileage when issue starts happening thing and yours is coming close to that. There are many models that are spotless like the 2016 Toyota Yaris (which makes sence) and cars like the 4runner Camry etc. It just makes sence unlike the nonsence JD power stuff that give all cars 3.5-4.5/5 whether Fiat or Camry.

Hey Joe what is your primary car? lets see....

mines pretty clean. GM already fixed my dashboard, and I fixed my own seatbelt wires.

@mountainmanjoe
Great. Seems like GM makes a lot better vans than I thought and a lot worse cars and SUVs than I though 😆

maybe it's because they're mostly used for work, so GM doesn't have bother trying to attract consumers with trendy gizmos and junk that doesn't work. They are pretty low-tech.

@mountainmanjoe
I see. Seems smart that they would stay away from those. I think many consumers wished their gm cars were less high tech.
Well thx for the late night talk;)
