Hi Scotty,
Love your channel and no-nonsense commentary.
I have an 2013 RDX with ~ 65K miles. Lately the tranny seems to be making a light grinding (rumbling) gear noise when switching between 4th and 5th gears. If I'm accelerating hard, I don't hear it. But if I'm accelerating slowly, it happens when it shifts to 5th gear and the tach is at the bottom of the shift range. Once I get a few 100 rpms above the bottom of the shift range it stops. The annoying thing is, is that I do a lot of commuting in the 35-50 mph range where this often occurs. Does the shift point need adjustment or the tranny otherwise serviced? Thoughts? Thanks! Bob
You have not specified whether you have a manual or an automatic transmission. If manual and it grinds when shifting gears the synchros sare probably worn. Either way has the transmisssion ever been serviced (fluid or lube changed)?
