I got a 2013 Cruze 1.8L with 96000 miles. Won’t start at all throwing two codes. P0016 and P0017 any ideas what would cause this?
Those codes refer to the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors being out of time with each other by certain number of degrees
It would seem unlikely that both Camshaft position sensors would go bad at the exact same time right?
Probably, but we are talking about a Cruze...Not Chevy's finest moment. My sister is a GM retiree and had a Cruze. Once it got past 100k miles it was always in the shop and fed-up dumping $$ into it, so she got a Civic.
Could be bad sensors or stretched chains.

Right. Check all plug in electrical connections.
I should’ve been more specific in my original post. Vehicle not only doesn’t start but doesn’t even crank. Not sure if that changes anything.
