I know you're not a fan of these cars but if asked to choose between the two which one would you pick
Clarification: How many years and miles do you need your next vehicle to last you?

I would avoid that Nissan Sentra terrible CVT transmission

Neither. But there are only these two cars, go with Elantra. My mother-in-law has a 13 Elantra with 140k miles + and she is still driving. However, it's vibrating in idle, so I don't have hope in her car.

2013 was amongst the worst model year for both vehicles. Avoid them at all costs.
