Do you all think $12,800 is too much to pay for a 2013 Toyota Avalon XLE (great condition) with 157,000 miles?

If it is a private party sale, too high by at least $1000. I have researched the Toyota Avalon though I never bought one. The Toyota Avalon is one of the most standardized vehicles in existence. The different models each year vary only in a few features such as sunroof or no sunroof and maybe a couple of other features that are not mechanical.

Even from year to year, the Avalon varies very little. Toyota introduced the six-speed automatic I in 2008 and continued it through 2018. The Avalon also had the same V-6 engine (possibly with slight variations) from 2008 through 2018.

If you can get an older model with the same mileage in the same condition you could save thousands $$$ and end up with the same car. Another issue is whether you are your own mechanic. I am my own mechanic and that makes everything different.

If you are buying through a dealer, $12,800 is good price, but you still might be able to get something off.

@newworld3000 please copy+paste your response to the correct place. Thanks.

Yes, it is too much money but with this market I saw crazy things. If you don't have to buy a car, just wait.
