Hey Scotty, I recently purchased a 2013 VW JETTA 2.5 SE 5 Cylinder, 85k miles standard manual 5 speed transmission, love the car, seems slow but quite reliable at the moment. What's your opinion on it and what advise would you have for me to make sure this car runs good for at least 200k miles?
Thank you and keep up the great work. Every community deserves someone like you
For opinions see below: not a wise move to get that vehicle. Hopefully, you know a lot about how cars work (including troubleshooting electrical issues) and are able to do the majority of the maintenance/repairs yourself. Otherwise, just stay on top of the maintenance (change engine oil no more than every 5,000 miles), and pray a lot.

I hope you're either a mechanic or have a friend who is one because to get that car to 200k miles is going to take a miracle and a LOT of elbow grease and parts.
