I have a 2014 Camry SE and it is probably the best car I have ever owned. At 165K miles, everything's still great, except the fan blower motor is failing intermittently, especially on hot days. When I start the car sometimes it will not come on but once on, it never stops working until I turnit off. But when it does not come on, to get it to work again I do either of 2 things: I open the vent and drive at a higher speed and after a short time it comes back on. Otherwise I smack the dashboard just above the control knob and sometimes it comes right on. Is that an expensive fix? Easy to fix
The other problem is that when I am stuck in traffic and at a standstill for a while, the AC stops cooling until I get moving again. What causes that?
Thanks!
Easy to fix
Time for a new blower motor, I guess -
What causes that?
Probably just low on refrigerant, but have it diagnosed by an AC specialist in your area.
