Trouble starting warm engine

My sister has a 2014 Chevy Malibu with 99,000 miles. It drives really good and smooth, but sometimes it wont start once shes gone somewhere, like a store. She'll come back outside and the car will struggle start. And when it finally does start, its rough and then it will level out and drive smooth. I've replaced both solenoids at the top of the engine. It used to have a check engine light a few months ago but after i changed those solenoids, it went away. And then about a month or two later, this issue started happening. It currently has no check engine light. Dealer says she might need a timing chain. But the car runs extremely well and smooth and has been well maintained. Its just the intermittent starting issue when she she drives and goes somewhere and then comes back out to start the car. Any help would be appreciated

So it has an issue starting up once its at operating temperature? Could be a leaky injector.

And it doesn't do everytime the car is started at operating temperature. Sometimes it will start just fine and other times it wont start or start rough. Itll do it randomly, but it never does it when the engine is cold. But besides that, the car runs very smooth and it idles smooth. It accelerates normal. Its only the intermittent starting issue when the engine is warm. And there are no codes and no check engine light.

When the car does not start, ask her to push the gas pedal all way down and then start the car. As @nta98 said, you may have leaky fuel injectors.

For starters, get it scanned for codes and report back.

The check engine light isn't on and there aren't any codes

try spraying starting fluid into the intake when that happens.

Clean fuel injectors, new fuel filter.
