2014 Honda Civic

Found a 2014 Honda Civic with 88,000 miles, I already checked it out...drove good, engine sounds good. Keeper?

yes then if it sounds good runs good if you had a mechancic check it out go ahead and buy it. Those things can run forever.

If a mechanic says it is in good mechanical shape (especially the CVT) then buy it.

Make sure the CVT transmission is in good shape, and see if the recall on that transmission has been done. My mom has a 2014 Civic with the CVT that she bought new. It has 105k miles on it with no issues but then again, she drives like an old lady. If you drive conservatively and don’t beat the thing up, go ahead and get it after having it checked out. If you drive hard like me, I’d stay away from it and look at civics with manual transmissions or go for a 2013 Civic. The 2013 looks basically the same but it has a 5 speed automatic instead of the CVT
