Hey Scotty I have a 2014 Nissan Murano S 105,000 miles had it since 90,000 miles only problems I’ve had so far was a maf sensor replaced it still engine light came back on took to a mechanic and tested it was the boot leaking air no other issues with that now I have coolant spraying under the hood found the leak seemed like the clamp on the hose was a little low loosened the clamp up and raised the hose up and clamp still a little bit of coolant around the ring at the top but not as bad as it was wondering your thoughts and anything else and if it’s a keeper or get rid of thanks.
The only major issue with those cars are the automatic transmissions. The Jatco CVT unit is notorious for hesitation, shudder, (insert other transmission problems I'm tired of writing them all) and complete failure around 100k miles. To fix it costs a fortune and if you can get a good amount for it now ($7000+) I would sell it. Let someone else who doesn't care to do the research for their car take the thousands of dollars in CVT repairs/replacements.
I think it depends on how much you would get. If I were you, I would put it on craigslist and see if you are happy with the offers. If you don't get what you want and you like the car, don't sell it now. If you are happy with it, might as well before you start to hate it. Keep in mind CVT replacements are thousands of dollars, $4-7k from what Scotty says. To be fair, the newer ones are improving but they are still weak units. You might get 200k out of it, or it might fail tomorrow.
There is also the timing chain tensioner/rattle issues infamous with the Nissan 3.5 V6, but they mostly got it figured out by 2014.
If you do decide to keep it, make sure to keep up on transmission fluid drain and fills, ideally every 30k miles or so.
Try installing a new hose clamp & check if it still leaks.
