2014 Toyota Camry Engine Code P0015

Hey Scotty, My niece has a 2014 Toyota Camry 4 cyl automatic with 65,000 miles. She took it to get the oil and transmission fluid changed. Following the change, her car started running really rough, shaking and even has trouble starting. The engine light came on and the code is P0015 "B camshaft Position - Timing Over - Retarded Bank 1". Could this be related to the engine oil change? The research I've done said it could be due to wrong engine oil clogging the camshaft position sensor. Her receipt shows the correct oil used, but I wonder... Any ideas? Thanks!

Faulty camshaft position sensors can cause cylinder misfires. However many other things can cause them as well. Scotty last fix before he left Texas involved replacing a coil pack and spark plug to buy time on an engine with multiple cylinders misfire codes with high miles that burned oil.

Thanks Gasmonkey! I remember that video but didn't know if it applied since this car has relativity low miles. There was no engine code for a misfire either, so I'm wondering if its something else.

Anybody with access to Toyota TSBs can look this error code up for this year and model Camry? For just the p0015 fixes include replacing a pair of camshaft actuator solenoids.
