I recently purchased a 2014 Toyota Corolla S with 75K miles, automatic transmission. I've had two small problems come up since purchasing the vehicle two months ago.

(1)  I'm hearing a small grinding sound from my front wheels (sounds more like it's the right wheel area but can't tell for sure) that happens when I'm going over a bump while breaking. It doesn't seem to happen every time, but I most often notice it on those occasions I just described. I mostly notice it going very slow over a speed bump, for example, but not when I'm going fast and hit a pothole. There is no engine light or other indicator light. Perhaps this is a shocks issue? Nothing unusual came out of the inspection before I bought it. Can you please help? Is this a very expensive issue?

(2) The driver's side door rarely responds to the lock/unlock button on my keys. All other doors work 100% of the time, but the driver's side works maybe 5% of the time and I instead have to insert the key in order to lock/unlock. The driver's side door does not make any "click" noise in the times when this does not work. Given that all the other doors work I don't think it's a key issue. Potentially could it be a fuse box issue?

Thank you in advance for the help!

Well the door actuator probably going to need replacing I personally would just leave it alone. Now the noise could be many things check the brake pads check the strut mounts lots of things can wear try my video how to check out your car's suspension system Scotty
