Mr. Kilmer I'm in the process of finding a used truck to buy and I'm looking for a Toyota tacoma and I've noticed that 2014's are cheaper than older models with more miles on them so I'm wondering what's wrong with them
It is a very reliable truck compared to other trucks. I bought a Ford Ranger and returned it after a few days and luckily they had a return policy. So now, I stick with only Toyota.
They are excellent trucks and you are looking at ones from the early 2010s and newer and those are great because the ones from the early 2000s had a lot of problems with rusted frames. Just make sure a mechanic says it's good and if you can get an attractive price, go ahead and buy one!
I have owned a 2005 Tacoma since new, its has largely been bullet proof, The 2005-2015's are the same generation, I not sure why the 2014 would be any different from the rest of the generation.
It did have a lot of complaints and only received a 3 of 5 reliability rating from jd power, while the 2015 model recieved a 5 out of 5 reliability rating. But, that means nothing because it will always be far ahead of its competition for midsize trucks and I say go for it if you get a killer deal.
NO
Simmer down. What exactly is your issue with Tacomas?
@MountainManJoe only because it is Japanese?
