2015 Chrysler 200 C Transmission Drop

Hello! I have a 2015 Chrysler 200 C that just passed 30,000 miles with a V6 engine and automatic transmission. On a drive last week, the 'Service Transmission' screen came on mid-drive and the car began to slow down with a strange noise coming from the inside. After turning off the car, removing the positive to the battery, reattaching it and starting the car, the 'Service Transmission' screen went away and the car was able to safely drive home. The car has not had any issues running since last week. What do you believe caused this transmission drop, and how can this be prevented? Thank you!

You need to run a deep scan and check for stored codes to find the cause.  Why did you disconnect the positive battery cable?

Apologies for the delay in response! The battery cable had to be disconnected to cut power to everything being that the start button has no functionality when the car does this. I found a video on YouTube (link below) from many years back showcasing the identical problem. The "Service Transmission" and "Service Park Brake" icons will flash repeatedly when the car malfunctions every time. This has been a weekly occurrence now, including once while driving on the highway, ever since it first occurred in October.
