Hello,

Just wanna run a thing by ya. Got a 2015 chrysler 300s, 3.6 VVT pentastar, and I am nervous about its oil pressure. I do understand that this engine has a 2 stage kinda pump, and thats where I worry. At start up, it goes from around 45 psi @ its choked at high idle, to between 80 and 89 during its decent in rpm down around 1000 to 850, and lower until the oil warms up to 140 degrees. From there it runs 40 to 45 psi while in normal drive, if I need to get into passing gear, the pressure will climb upto 99 psi. Just wondering about what to look for in pressure fails, i.e. seals and gaskets. The engine is going on 160,000 miles and I am in love with the car. Help easy my mind by expressing what I might want to say, preemptive strike, against failure. Thanks for the read.

Well, as long as you change your oil and filter regularly and it's not clogged up inside, it's kind of normal for those things. Plus the gauges aren't that accurate. Anyways, I doubt you really have 99psi. If you're curious about that, put an actual pressure gauge on the engine and see what that reads
