2015 Ford Focus hatchback: the automatic transmission sometimes studders, especially from a start. It's one of those electronic clutch transmissions. What should I be aware of and is there any special way it should be driven? I've already had the thing reprogrammed twice for this issue. After a while it starts to come back. Thanks,
Kevin
Ford DCT transmissions are notorious for doing exactly this.
Google Ford Powershift transmission class action lawsuit & you’ll find plenty of complaints.
It just means that the transmission is starting to go out and there's not much to be done other than drive it till it gets worse or sell it and get something else.
Hello,
I assume it a power shift transmission, So depending on the vehicle mileage the clutch could be on its last legs, or have oil contamination on it.
I include a link for information purposes.
All the best.
@dvkala
Thank you sir.
I believe it to be a design issue. It's low mileage and still under Ford's warranty.
