I have a 2015 Jeep Patriot Latitude 4WD 2.4L Six speed automatic.
Last fall I replaced front struts with KYB SR4507 and SR4508. I also replaced sway bar end links with Moog K750385. The control arms are new. I couldn't mount the links without putting a load on first which caused them them to be up against the lower control arm. I remember matching up the OE links with the Moogs. I'm assuming its my struts that are the issue? Please advise. Thank you.
You probably have it installed upside down.
Every sway bar I've ever seen is mounted so that it's pretty much impossible to get the orientation wrong. It's basically an upside down U shaped steel tube, after all, and the mounts are very close to the legs of the U. There may be minor deviations due to parts clearances and such, but it should be pretty obvious if you have it the right way or not. Keep the front suspension loaded if you can. That will make the sway bar links easier to install. If you do it when it's jacked up, the wheels will be extended due to the compression in the spring.
The sway bar is definitely in the correct orientation with the up-side-down U. I didn't remove it. I wasn't sure if i had it more left or right, but its not too obvious. I just know with the links installed, the the end of the sway bar where the bolt goes through is pressing on the controls arm while up on jack stands. It doesn't seem normal to me but I am no professional mechanic. I've crossed reference parts multiple times with multiple vendors with the mopar part numbers .

A picture would help. Upload one to Imgur and post a copy here. If you didn't take it out, then as long as the new parts match the parts you took out, and you put them in correctly, there should be no problems.

Yeah sounds like they're probably a little bit too long
Thank you!
I found my old struts laying around this morning. I measured from the center of the mounting hole directly to the bottom of the strut and I got 18 cm on the KYBs and have 19 cm on the OE Mopars. That one cm is about how much i have to lift it to put the bolt thru. They're either too long or too short by a cm depending on how you look at it. It makes me wonder if my rears are off but I had those done at a garage.
Trying to figure out why my sway bars rest on my control arm, but they are on both sides. When i say rest, i mean there's enough downward force that i have to remove the link to put the ball joint up in the knuckle.
Get some shorter end links.
Of course i thought shorter link , but on a stock vehicle that made no sense to me
maybe your springs are sagged out (hard to say since you didn't provide mileage).
Other than that, I would say find another identical vehicle and take measurements.
2015 Latitude, 4WD, 2.4L, 6 speed transmission. How would I determine if my sway bar is properly centered?
Its not like I have a modified vehicle.
when I first asked last year, I thought it was my end link but in fact it was the sway bar.
Of course i thought shorter link , but on a stock vehicle that made no sense to me.
