Hi Scotty,
KIA replaced the engine at 80,000 miles, took to dealer for inspection at 94,000 miles to have the rods checked per KIA request to extend the warranty, now that I have the car back it skips/ jerks while driving at all speeds, but not all the time. Dealer says that the coils need replacing that the black paint shows bare metal in some places, on 3 of the 4 coils, they say they are arching inside the engine and the spark plugs need replacing too and you cant used 3rd party parts, only Kia parts for a total cost of $600. I put 2 cans of sea foam high mileage in on my last tank and that seemed to help but it is now back to to driving rough. I have never has so much trouble from a care before, we have a Hyundai Elantra with over 215,000 miles we have never changed the coils and plugs, just changed the oil. Should we see this car before it hits 1000,000 miles, what would you suggest.

You’re on your 2nd engine at 80,000 miles and you’re asking if this vehicle will make it to a million miles??? You have more faith in Kia, than me..
If I were you, I’d fix the misfire & get rid of it ASAP, while it’s still worth something & while some poor soul who likes Kia’s, is interested in your vehicle.
