Hello,
I've just leased a 2021 Jetta GLI here in Canada and was excited that I would get good performance from 2.0 litre turbo engine that uses regular fuel. After I brought the car home and read through the owners manual, I see that the while the manufacturer recommends premium fuel, it will run on regular.
What fuel should I be using in my car? I'm not crazy about the increased cost of premium fuel but want to make sure I'm not stressing the engine by using fuel that's not up to standard.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Unless you are going to be taking it out to the track and drag racing it just use regular fuel.
