- Hello Scotty, welcome to Tennessee!
I’m aware of your thoughts on Audi and their twin turbo engines so I’m probably going to get berated for even asking this question haha.
Ive test driven both cars and to be honest I like the Audi way more as a daily driver. I’m not really a car guy, but I do want reliability in the car because I don’t want to have to swap engines at 100k miles, especially if I’m buying it used at 30-50k.
What really has me hooked on the Audi isn’t necessarily the way it drives. It just had superior technology which is what I’m really looking for.
My last car was a 2013 Sion FRS which I dumb-wittingly stumbled into when I was young because it looked cool. Which luckily was actually a quality car and treated me really well.
This time around I’m not necessarily looking for anything special, but just something I can ride comfortably in with solid (preferably modern) technology.
I don’t mind spending a bit more on maintenance as long as I’m not spending $1000-$5000 every time I take it in or switching engines every 100k miles.
Also want to clarify that I’m not driving this car hard or very often (I work from home). I just want a car I would love to be able to drive and enjoy myself when I do decide to go somewhere.
I love your videos and keep up the great work!
Lexus all day. Audi's practically come standard with the check engine light lit.
If you can't swing a $2000 repair at random, they aren't the cars for you.
Okay thanks for the feedback. And I do actually love the Lexus as well. I think I’m gonna just take the advice of many and stick with the Lexus.
I still recommend you lease an Audi and get out of your system than to buy it. All that ‘superior’ over-engineered German technology is great when it works but comes at a cost and that is repair $$$ when they fail (and they will). Scotty speaks from experience and would be wise to follow it.
Agree leasing new would be the ONLY way to own one.
Haha, I don’t think I’m that stuck on the Audi. Most of my life I’ve learned the hard way, but I think I’m gonna stick with the easy road on this one. Thank you!
