Hello Scotty, I'm a recent subscriber and am thankful for your insight and knowledge you share of cars. I recently bought a 2015 mini countryman s. It's got 63,185 miles, front wheel drive, automatic transmission, and a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine. I bought it off an auction and would like to know what I should check for and service in the car before driving it. Basically an inspection checklist. Thank you and any answer is much appreciated
Watch the engine and transmission on that vehicle.
What I would do now is:
- Change the spark plugs
- Change the Oil
- Change the Transmission fluid
- Check PCV valve and see if it needs replacement
- Check brakes- make sure they work properly
I hope you didn't pay much at that auction.
Kesterpaul62 thanks for the insight! I payed $5,500 for it and it has a salvaged title for hail damage, but it's only got small dents on the hood.
