2016 Ford Focus SE Out of coolant

Hello Scotty,

Hope you with the same experience can give me advice how to solve the problem.

2016 Ford Focus Se running out of coolant every around 6 months, however, I couldn't find any leaking on the ground or surrounded parts.

You better hope it’s just a bad radiator cap & not your head gasket.

Start with buying a new OEM radiator cap. Also, check out Scotty’s video -

Gee that reservoir is bone dry isn’t it? If your coolant isn’t changing colour, odds are you just need a new cap. Keep us posted if the new OEM cap fixes your issue or not.


Yes the cap is the easiest thing to try. How much are you losing?
