Hello,
Can somebody tell me the proper way of replacing the coolant in a Mitsubishi Outlander mk1? I cant find any good tutorials except one where the guy lets coolant drain all over different parts. Also O heard there might be more points to drain coolant?
Also I dont know what coolant to use. The manual is not helpful. There is green stuff in there now but some local dealers dont even use Mitsubishi OEM coolant.

There's a drain plug, usually at the bottom of the radiator. Completely empty the radiator, then disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses. Get a hose and flush the radiator out until the water is clean. There's another couple of hoses that circulate coolant through the heater core. Find them and disconnect them both. Take the hose and flush the heater core until the water is clear. Then, take the hose directly to the engine and flush it out until the water is clear.
When everything is clean, reassemble everything and fill up the radiator until it's full. Jack up the front of the car so the heater core is below the mouth of the radiator. Start the car and set the blower to max heat. It will burp as coolant displaces air, when it does, add more coolant until it doesn't burp anymore. Reach into the cabin and make sure the heater is working. Top off the radiator when you're finished.
