I recently am leasing a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander from a used car place, and I'm just wondering with it having 131 thousand and some change on her what is most likely to go, what things I need to look out for, what they're great for, worst for, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Always love your videos Scotty!!!! You've helped me out, I had to look on said Mitsubishi after calling the dealer in Columbus, Ohio and they quoted regular gasoline, whereas the lid states premium. It even sounded like the tapped on his keys to "look it up" which I don't think he did honestly 🤣.
If you have a 4cylinder with CVT transmission, the transmission is the weakest point.
It's the 6 cylinder one AWD variant.
I would pass.
I just have to ask, what kind of dealer is leasing 11-year old cars with over 100,000 miles on them? (That's a new one on me.)
Madison Motors, out of London, Ohio lol
Sounds kind of sketchy, hope it works out OK for you.
I looked Madison Motors up out of curiosity and found the above in the "About Us" section on their site. It really does not surprise me. I strongly suspect that by the time the lease is paid off the amount will be more than what the vehicle would have been worth if it were purchased outright. Likely you are responsible for repairs during the lease unless an expensive warranty was purchased. As I said, hope it works out for you, but in the future this looks like a situation to avoid.
See below for common issues for that model year:

I wouldn’t have bothered getting/keeping that vehicle beyond 100,000 miles.
