Hello Scott....Craig from Tampa. I am considering buying a used 2016 Honda Odyssey....has 100,000 miles on it...I have read about VCM problems and transmission problems. I have had several friends with them, and they seem to often have issues.
I have a friend with a 2016 that a few months back, the alternator went out at just over 100k miles, a few days before, the alternator went out in my 2005 Matrix with about 220k miles! Both cars were on the original alternator, really disappointed in Honda quality on those things, and the alternator is not cheap to fix, it is hard to get to.
Besides the alternator, the doors have issues too.
10 years ago my friend had a 99 sienna and it was running like a clock at 200k. He still has the Sienna.
Scotty is not kidding when he says they are not any good, I would never buy one.
