I'm new here. I'm planning to buy 2017 Buick encore and was wondering what your take on the vehicle. How bout 2017 Jeep patriot?
Neither are very good quality to be honest. Jeep consistently ranks poorly in the consumer report papers for reliability and Buick isn't far behind.
After working for GM for a decade, I'd still go with the Jeep as I've got too much first hand experience with Buick to ever buy one. But don't expect it to be trouble free.

Do not buy either of them.
The 2017 Buick Encore is one of the vehicles under class-action suit because of extremely poor reliability and transmission failures. It's also one of the vehicles GM has chosen to discontinue.
There are literally volumes of trouble history with the Jeep. Nice lawn art maybe, but as a usable vehicle: Never.
I'd walk away from both of them.
