Looking at a 2011 Jaguar XF Premium automatic with the 5.0L naturally aspirated V8. Sedan has 112k miles and the dealer just did a full timing chain job. For $11,500 is it a decently reliable enough to have as a toy and drive maybe 4k miles a year? I always liked the styling and the horsepower of these Jags. Thanks for the input.
Only if you have an endless amount of money to spend on that endless money pit disposable car and if you really had to like it, then go ahead but just don't use as everyday driver and put too many miles.
A Jag with 100k miles is going to have an onslaught of issues, especially if it sits for periods of time. Even if you can financially afford to keep it going, it'll be in the shop alot.
Plus, 11.5k is an absurd price, its realistically worth half that. I bet you the dealer paid 1/3 of that on a trade in.
Keep browsing, not worth the time or money IMHO
Way too many miles for a Jag. Case in point, my uncle bought a 2006 XKR Convertible in 2009 with only 10K miles. It now has around 40K now with no major issues and it has always been his toy.
