Hi Scotty, one of my friends referred your youtube videos to me and am glad that he did. I got to know so much about the cars and I really appreciate your sincerity in sharing all that wisdom with people!
I wanted to get your piece of advice on new tire purchase for my 2017 Toyota Camry SE. It's been driven around 27000 miles.
I have gotten used to hear all that tire noise in this car that am not sure how to evaluate what set of new tires can provide that luxury quietness.
What are your recommendations on the tires that can provide quietness and good traction on dry, wet and snow conditions, and have good treadlife. Please review the following options that I was able to filter on Google -
1. Bridgestone Turanza Quiettrack
2. Michelin CrossClimate 2
Thank you.
agressive tread tires give enhanced traction in snow
they will be somewhat noisy
smoothe tread tires will be quiet
they will also slide all over the place in ice and snow
you can't have it both ways.
get high mileage tires for the summer and snow tires for the winter
or get all season tires and drive slower in slippery conditions
sheesh!
Yes, any recommendations on all seasons? I am looking for a quiet ride and better traction. Which one is better Michelin CrossClimate 2 or Bridgestone Turanza Quiettrack on these two aspects?
Durability, quiet ride, and winter traction are all trade-offs, and you can't have everything. You can try but they will end up being mediocre at everything , but good for nothing.
We have little to no snow in Northern VA, but roads can be icy. Should I look for Winter tires for that or, are there any all seasons that can manage such conditions.
what are typical daily lows (temp) in the middle of winter there?
