I currently have 2017 ford fusion se and thinking what would be a better alternative for a commuter car that can last me awhile. what do you suggest?
Just curious what’s wrong with the Fusion to make you want to change? (This could help other members out looking to buy.). If talking fairly new (couple years old), then the Camry will last the longest since it has the naturally aspirated (NA) engine along with port/direct injection (so back of intake valves get cleaned) and less gears in their automatic transmission. The Accord has turbocharged GDI engine and susceptible to oil dilution, also wearing out faster than a NA engine, and has direct-injection only so will be susceptible to carbon buildup on back of intake valves over time, and with the CVT and 10-speed AT offered (although you could get a manual up to 2020 MY) it won’t last as long as the Camry’s 8-speed AT. I would go with the Camry.
I had this 2017 fusion for over a year. I bought it used with 38k miles. Nothing wrong with it but I am trying to look in the future bc my commute is 21k a year and I will be over 100k in three years on the fusion. Just trying to see if I should get something more reliable.
I’d go for 2016-2017 or 2019+ Toyota Camry like Karem said. Those 2018+ Accords got me thinking “OMG Honda ! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THE ACCORD ?!” with those dumb 1.5t engines and that ugly new body style. I have a 2019 Camry SE and it’s probably the best car I have ever owned.
If you’re dead set on selling it, see what offers you can get. It may still have quite a lot of life left in it, though.
Between the Camry & Accord, they’re both excellent. Pick the one which you like more.
I would recommend the 2016-2017 or 2019+ Toyota Camry.
The Fusion isn't the greatest vehicle they are good for a while but tend to have engine and transmission issues.
The Accord is a mess in the last 2 years they are great cars but so much technology to go wrong I would stick to the Camry.
