Hey Scotty I recently purchased a 2017 Honda Accord Coupe with a 6 speed manual and V6.

Only has 25,000 miles on it. Dealership only changed the oil and cabin filter. All I have done so far is check the (clean) air filter and AT205’d the front suspension components. Is there any other maintenance you recommend at this point and what do you think of this car?

Congratulations for the new ride.
nothing really. It is practically brand new.

Thank you! Loving it haha. I’ve read that you need to re-time the valves at 30,000. Think its needed for the j35y2. Or could I convince the dealership to cover with its 100k powertrain warranty?

Yeah, the valve adjustment. Try to see if the dealer agrees to do that under warranty.

What does the owner’s manual say?

Also, just make sure to stay on top of the engine oil intervals (no more than every 5,000 miles). Since you have the 6-speed manual transmission, the cylinder deactivation (or what Honda calls VCM) in that engine is disabled - which is a good thing!

Will fully read the manual. For sure on the oil changes. For the VCM module its one of the main reasons I wanted the car! So glad manuals force it to be a normal V6 lol
