2017 Hyundai Elantra - transmission flush or change

Hi,

I have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra with about 114k miles on it, I’ve used the same service provider throughout its life.

They only recommended a transmission flush at 102k which was back in Nov 2021 and I declined because I they also tried to sell me some service to tune up the CVT transmission for like 3k so I was a little overwhelmed.

Three weeks ago my former service provider told me to get the transmission flush at 113.5k miles. But I now I’ve kept up with my knowledge of cars and was weary so I went and got a second opinion at another Hyundai dealership. They declined to provide a transmission flush or change.

Should I get it flushed? Changed? Or just get rid of the car asap?

thank you,

Change it. CVT's are weak and should be serviced every 30 - 50k

Or just get rid of the car asap?

Being that it is already past 100,000 miles and it’s a hot seller’s market, I would get rid of the vehicle when you have the chance.

Isn’t it a 6 speed automatic and not a CVT? Elantras 2020 and beyond have a CVT.
