2017 Outback coolant

Checking my wife’s ‘17 outback today I noticed the coolant was about 2” above the low line. The vehicle is 4yrs old and has 42,000 miles. Is this amount of coolant loss normal or cause for concern? I’ve had Toyota’s in the past where the level seemed rock steady at approximately the same age.

did you check it hot or cold? If you're still above the cold line you should be OK. But if the level is going down, then check out Scotty's videos on coolant leaks.

Thanks for the feedback. Forgot to mention that it was checked cold.

ok draw a mark where it is with a sharpie and keep your eye on it. If it ever drops BELOW the cold line, then you should do something about it.
