Does replacing my wheel bearing require special equipment

Scotty, thank you first of all!   2017 Hyundai Veloster Turbo 6 Spd manual with 95k miles, being told the front passenger wheel bearing replacement requires specialized equipment to change out, and approx 900 dollars to do it.  Looks to me like parts are between 50 and 90 bucks.  This doesn't feel right to me, but two different shops are saying the same thing?

Does this sound up and up to you?
