Should I change my ATF

Hello Mr. Scotty,

I'm located in Dallas Texas. I have a 2018 Cadillac XT5 with 65,000 miles.  When taking it in for an oil change the dealership said I should consider changing the transition fluid as routine maintenance not that anything is wrong. The quote was for $350. That seemed high so I called around to other Cadillac dealers and got prices from $150 to $650. One service advisor said it takes a very special fluid that cant be mixed with anything else.  What should be a typical price and is there really anything special about this trany or its fluid?

Thank you very much for your help.

Buy the OEM fluid from the dealer and find an independent mechanic to change it for you.
