I have Toyota Camry 2018 and when I drive in higher speeds on town and on the highway, it backfires and the sound seem like shooting a gun, so can you help me to find what the problem is because every mechanic tells me different thing and I paid a lot for it and it is still not fixed yet, I tried changing the gasoline pump because it was running rich and I was smelling gasoline, and when I start the car the engine makes a bomb sound boom, I tried putting fuel injector cleaner and its still the same
What made you think the fuel pump was bad? Did you test it before replacement? Any codes? What does live data look like when this problem occurs?
There was no codes and I don't have OBD I was just assuming and I did what I may think is gonna make differnce but it did not work, maybe it's misfiring because of O2 sensors I'm assuming on that one too
Problem is that on a late-model car like that you really need to do the computer diagnostics to get an idea of what's going on. (In this case when a fuel pump is failing you get too little pressure and gasoline, not too much.) Maybe a bad fuel pressure regulator or drippy fuel injector? I don't know. Guessing and throwing parts at a problem rarely produces a good result.
Okay how to make scotty read my question?
You can't "make" Scotty read your question, he picks a few every day himself. He might pick yours or not, that is totally up to him. There are instructions in the FAQ for sending him an email if you want to try that but he receives a ton of email and cannot answer them all.
