I know Scotty is critical of the older equinox’s but I would like to hear his opinions of the more recent years. Specifically the 4 cylinder models with eco boost.
3rd gen Equinox production was moved to Mexico. I doubt they got better.
Definitely not - it’s horrid.
Not only is it both overpriced and cheaply built it uses components and engines KNOWN to fail.
Obviously GM doesn’t use “EcoBoost” engines,
The engine options are a bad 2.0T GM-Opel engine from a decade ago - they do not last long.
Or alternatively a 1.5T that has nothing to do with GM at all, it was developed by Opel and the “Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation”.
It’s pretty much the old equinox, but the industry has evolved and moved on with absolutely great new offers - so by contrast this GM pile of crap is even worse.
I suppose it depends on what the alternative is, but I doubt you’ll get any “yes” answers on this board.
