There was a burnt out brake light on the driver side. I changed it out with a replacement that's suppose to be brighter. it seems a little brighter than the other side but maybe I just believe everything I read on the package. Anyhow, I was wondering since they come in 2-packs if you're better off changing out both sides in case the other one is going to go soon as well and so they are "equally bright".
A while back I had a 1999 Ford Explorer where the driver side always went out, replaced it quite a bit. The other side I never had to replace. Is there something about the driver's side rear tail lights / brake lights in general that would make them fail or just a coincidence and an issue with that truck?
No.
Thanks "Doc", that was very helpful.
or just a coincidence
Probably just a coincidence.
I’d just replace as & when they burn out. If you’re paranoid, carry a spare of each type of your vehicle’s bulbs, in the glovebox.
