Scotty,

You said on one of your YouTube videos that the transmission on the 2017 Camry was tried and true but the 2018 Camry 8 speed automatic transmission was not out long enough to give your honest opinion.  I'm in need of a new car for my wife.

I'm looking at both the 2017 & 2018 Camry XLE or XSE but the difference between the 6 speed or 8 speed transmission's have me confused.

Please give me your advice?

I'm 76 yrs my wife is 63 yrs I'm on a limited income and need this car to last for many years.  I've been a member viewer on your YouTube channel for years and value your opinion.

Regards,

Paul O. Derrington Sr., now living outside of Huntsville, AL

The 2018 Camry should be fine since Toyota took care of the issue that the transmission had on the 2017 model year. It is better for you to test drive both and decide what you want. You can not go wrong with either one.
