I have been watching your videos for a long time and enjoy them.
My sister has a 2018 Toyota CHR.
It had 78,000 km's and had to have the transmission replaced.
We looked online and there are quite a few CHR's that needed transmissions.
Is this the same CVT as in a Toyota Corolla?
Has Toyota made any changes to the CHR's transmission for 2021/2022?

Does anyone know anything about the trans in the CHR other than it's a CVT?
Did they say what caused the failure?
That’s deeply concerning if it’s indeed a design flaw which has slipped through the cracks.
The dealer didn't tell us why the transmission failed.
Just curious. What were the symptoms before failure?
It started as a faint squealing noise at a certain speed, got worse where it was happening at most speeds.
It was covered under warranty.
