From scotty's videos it seems that Honda which is also Acura makes great reliable cars, however, the new 2019 & 2020 Acura RDX A-Spec has some pretty bad reviews on many things from their infotainment system, to breaks and other small things. From the reviews I wouldn't buy the car, but wanted to know what you think about this crossover.
There is a big difference between Acura and Lexus quality the RDX had many transmission and infotainment issues as well and the engines have cylinder deactivation it might be fine now and they are great cars but when it comes to long term reliability you would want to look into a Lexus or regular Honda.
Kerem, your points are on but just wanted to add this vehicle RDX only came offered with the 2.0L turbo-charged I4 (K20C4 engine), and did not have cylinder deactivation. Cylinder deactivation (or as Honda calls it VCM) is typically found on some of the V6 engines.
@daywalker
Thanks, lets take that out then.
Do these have oil dilution like the Accord 2.0 Turbo?
The engine and transmission on the 2019+ RDXs are fantastic - the 2.0L turbo engine is very similar to the one found in the Honda Civic type R. For long term reliability, those RDXs should hold up pretty well. Honda is known for making excellent engines. As for the infotainment system, it just depends person to person. Some people like the one-to-one touch pad while others find it annoying - try it out and see for yourself. If you're looking for a sporty luxury SUV, the RDX A-spec is an awesome choice!
