Scotty, I got a 2019 Toyota Camry SE last week and the dealership and some people in a Facebook group are saying it only needs an oil change every 10k miles with “service” every 5k miles... is that correct or should I actually stick to doing the oil changes every 5 or 6k miles to be safe ?

Don’t pay attention to those idiots, change your oil every 5000 miles if your using synthetic oil.
It's a newer car. We don't know how they behave long term. Probably better to be safe. 6k is fine.
Generally speaking, consult your owner’s manual. However, I would just change it every 5K miles. Seems overly cautious, but oil is cheap, your engine is not. Even Scotty usually recommends that interval. But the key is to always make sure you have clean oil circulating throughout your engine between oil changes.
