Scotty, I dunno if you reported this but here it is. https://www.google.com/search?q=merrillville+indiana+police+dodge+durango&sca_esv=2ffed2e4f72d7567&sca_upv=1&sxsrf=ADLYWILHVj7k-f4c6SD4Ih1XYaiUKNyxzg%3A1727214391636&source=hp&ei=NzPzZqP9I--U0PEPssbcwQ0&iflsig=AL9hbdgAAAAAZvNBR8rpJU. Indiana state police and now Merrillville, IN police are dumping their very late model Durangos due to catastrophic engine failures and Stellantis says "...sorry for the inconvenience.".

I'm not surprised. My father-in-law rented a 2021 Dodge Durango while his at-the-time new Mitsubishi was being repaired. It was two years old at that time and there was already condensation buildup in the headlights. My father-in-law owns a 26-year-old Dodge Ram 2500, the headlights are faded as heck, but there's still no condensation in those headlights.

Stellantis is owned by Peugeot. Chrysler, LLC went under in 2008, and they got bought out by Fiat. Fiat itself went under a short time later, and they both got bought out by Peugeot, becoming Stellantis. Stellantis owns the Alpha Romeo brand now, as well. Even before that, Chrysler as a company went under in the 1980s because of poor quality. The only thing that saved them from insolvency was Lee Iacocca's K-Car. The K-Car platform was versatile; it could serve as a 2-door coupe, and even a minivan. They look great, and that's why people, or, in this case, police departments, buy them.
