Hey all!
So asking for a friend who is considering a car for weekend use in Canada. It's a 2021 Kia Rio which I'll include the link to the posting below. I personally advised against buying it given all we now about Kia/Hyundai issues, but can this by chance be better since it is for the Canadian market or the same still applies? My personal suggestion was Corolla Cross or Honda Fit.

Pass. Those Kia Rios are either made in Mexico, South Korea or Algeria and they ship them internationally. Issues they have in the US will jump the border into Canada. Given Kia/Hyundai's notoriety for oil burning and an overall lack of quality, run away and don't look back.
