Hello Forum and
Scotty Kilmer!

Ive watched several of your videos Scotty to learn more repair techniques.
Now I need help as my 2020 Ford Expedition Max with 97000 miles is completely dead and with no power!
It left us stranded on our work lunch break. The key fob battery was replaced 4 months ago. It has a brand new 48 month battery that is only 3 months old and the Expedition Max has started fine every day until today!

FYI - My battery connections look very clean, as I cleaned them and lightly coated them with dialectric grease. The cables are not corroded, nor torn. The wires to the anti theft horn are fine.

This is what happened.  As I approached my Ford I saw the side view mirrors still out, so I knew something was wrong. I pressed the remote starting sequence on the fob and nothing, no chirp nor did the lights light up as they usually do.

As I sat in the car and pressed on the brake pedal and the starter button nothing happened.  There was no dash power at all nor door chimes. Then I popped the hood and checked the cables and connections, even removing the battery cables to allow a reset and re connected the cables and my car was still dead with no power at all!

FYI 2 - In the past I’ve R & R’d starters, alternators, many car batteries and brakes and brake calipers, 3  radiators on 3 different cars, and a set of 4 door lock switches on my old 02 Suburban, plus the upper and lower control arms and ball joints on my old 99 Ford, so I’m OK as a shade tree mechanic with a good set of minimum tools.

What could it be fellow forum members or Scotty Kilmer?

how many volts did you measure on the battery?
