Scottie,
Greetings from Houston TX. I purchased a 2020 Honda Accord Touring last year, now with about 12K miles, the car has started making a clicking sound underneath the steering column. Sounds like someone is typing on a old typewriter. Its intermittent but I discovered that I can get it to start clicking if I increase/lower the temperature. The car is equipped with the auto temperature mode. I took it to Russel and Smith Honda, they kept it for a day, they heard the sound, but they could not figure out where it's coming from. They won't provide a loaner/rental since Honda won't pay for one but they need the car longer to figure out the issue. Help!
I am never buying another Honda ever again! They don't stand behind their products.
Can you make a YouTube video of the noise & post the link here?
How many of the people here do you think even know what a typewriter sounds like? 😉
That car is under warranty, they have to fix it. You could try another dealer (any Honda dealer has to honor the warranty), but it would probably be a good idea to escalate the problem to Honda corporate.
I used my dad’s, when I was a kid. I was good at pulling out the ribbon..and then getting yelled at.
