What are your thoughts on buying a brand new 2020 Honda Fit that is built and assembled in Mexico? Honda is known for reliability but I have heard the quality control at assembly plants in Mexico is questionable.
It can be a good car since some of Toyotas have been assembled in Mexico. Do some research and find out where the drivetrain is made.
The drivetrain, engine, transmission are all also made in Mexico.
If this is the case, I would not consider it. But it is my personal opinion.
Honda Fits have been being made in Mexico for years now. They have proven to be fun reliable little cars. I personally wouldn't have a proble buying one. If you want to be safe, a couple years back they were made in Japan, you can identify if VIN starts with "J"
Also want to add since the Fit is discontinued you can get a sweat deal on a brand new one left on the lots. I would go that route, but used Japanese made is also a good option.
