My RAV4 is due a new battery. I’m going to buy from Walmart. I see 2 sizes listed, H5 and H6. I have heard Scotty say to buy the bigger battery. I just want to make sure it will fit correctly. I see they list an AGM battery for $179.00. 4 year replacement….

is it actually worn out? Did you get it tested?

try it out in the Walmart parking lot. If it doesn't fit, walk back in with it.

if the car didn't come with AGM, don't use AGM

Wow. Great info. I had missed this video.
What size is in there now? H5 is group 47, H6 is group 48. You can compare dimensions here:

Group 47. Now.. I will replace it with same. It’s the original battery.
Does this vehicle have a reset needed after battery replacement?
I have no idea. That information may be in your owner's manual.
Double check the correct size. IIRC, there is a recall for a bracket holding the battery, because smaller batteries aren’t being held down by the current bracket setup. I think Scotty has a video on this problem.
No. it's not the bracket.
my mum got that letter and Toyota was installing incorrect replacement batteries. People who still have original stuff are unaffected.

My understanding is that even though battery sizes are the same, the actual measurements may be slightly off by each manufacturer. And that Toyota was developing a fix with the bracket/clamp.
But if your mom got a letter, then perhaps they are taking another route to solve the problem, rather than bracket/clamp replacement.
ok it sounded like you were saying it's the clamp that's the issue. I'm pretty sure the letter said it was batteries being installed by the dealers that were causing the issue. Anyway like I said her car still has the original battery so she is unaffected, and I never found out what the remedy is. Maybe they are replacing the clamp.
