Hey scotty im in the market for a sedan/truck for under 30,000. My favorite pick so far is the 2022 kia K5. What do you know about it and is this a good buy?

Please don’t double post, thanks.

The only K5 anything that was any good was the Chevy K5 Blazer from the 80s.  The Kia K5 is a rolling pile of junk.

Sadly the Kia K5 seems to be mechanically weak. Their GDI engines don’t last long and their Dual clutch automatics do not drive well.

The price point doesn’t make sense, just get an Accord or a Camry - they probably will last twice as long and maintain great resale value.
I’ve driven a Kia for the last couple of days and although it’s brand new, the way the engine starts and transmission shifts - if I’d be blindfolded I’d think it’s a 2012 Ford Focus with 150k miles 🤣

Get a Camry or Accord. Forget about Kia.

Lot of car for the money.  But on the “TFL scale of buy it, lease it, rent it, or forget it (tm)” it’s definitely a rent it or lease it.
