[Solved] 2022 Maverick 2.0 Turbo oil

I picked up my new Maverick two weeks ago, and really enjoy it. It seems to be a very solid and well-built "trucklette". Obviously, being a direct-injected turbo, I want to take care of it and not have to worry about oil-related issues down the road. Scotty mentioned GF6-A oil (which is backwards compatible). It was designed for modern direct-injected turbo engines. Oddly enough, my owner's manual states that I should use a 5W-30 synthetic blend. It also stated that I can use a 0W-30 full synthetic in cold weather. Should I go for 5W-30 using a GF6-A, or 0W-30? Also, should I even consider using a GF6 oil?

Use what the manual says to use.  When you are ready to shut off the engine, let it idle for 2 minutes to cool down the turbo so it doesn't cook the oil.

The new turbos don't require idling to be cooled down. The engine shuts off at stops and intersections. In the owner's manual, they show a diagram of 0W-30 full synthetic covering the entire temperature range and as an option, yet recommend 5W-30 synthetic blend. It's jut weird that a 2022 GDI turbo would use that kind of oil.

I respectfully disagree.  They also tell you you have lifetime transmission fluid and a bunch of other lies.
